With the development of Internet/Ethernet, the computer numerical control system based on Ethernet/Internet has been a subject of much study on e-manufacturing. This paper describes the architecture of computer numerical control system which adopts Internet/Ethernet from higher management level to lower field device level. It defines the information types and the information flow feature, and presents the solutions which include the Web-based remote process, TCP/IP and socket based local process and collision avoidance based real-time communication process. Some experiments were conducted to test the solutions. The results show that the computer numerical control system based on Internet/Ethernet can meet the requirement of the application.

The hardware-in-the-loop simulation, which can perform simulation study by placing the needed actual control object in the loop of the simulation system and verify the actual control effect of the control strategy rapidly, is a real-time simulation technology for actual process. In this paper, based on the dSPACE(digital Signal Processing and Control Engineering) hardware-in-the-loop simulation technology, the on-line parameters self-tuning algorithm of the servo control system based on genetic algorithm has been put forward and real-time simulation of the proposed algorithm has been performed by using MATLAB/Simulink modelling system and dSPACE systems hardware and software environment. The simulation results show that the proposed servo control parameters setting based on genetic algorithm are highly robust and hardware-in-the-loop simulation is a quick way to verify and improve the control algorithms.

Ethernet communication isnpsilat used directly in numerical control (NC) system, because of its non-deterministic time delays and non-synchronous communication. In this paper, the system architecture of digital interface and the communicating-protocol of digital interface in NC system based on the Ethernet technology are made. The protocol was tested by experiment in feasibility. The results show that it meets the communication requirements of real-time, synchronization and reliability. The interface was used in the experimental platform of NC system developed independently based on Ethernet technology.
