Research on the physical mechanics properties of the Rape Stalk

A study on the physical and mechanical characteristics of rape has important significance to analyze the resistance lodging capability and solve the problem of rape mechanization harvest. The RGT computer-servo material testing system is used in this paper. The test is emphases on the study of compressing, cutting and bending characteristics of the Huaza No.10s elongating part in harvest time. In the test, the stalk compression destruction stress is measured at 11.9 (This equation is not available in html. Please view the pdf version.) ; the elasticity modulus in compression is 172(This equation is not available in html. Please view the pdf version.; the maximum of cutting destruction stress is 10.52(This equation is not available in html. Please view the pdf version.; the elasticity of flexure module is 61(This equation is not available in html. Please view the pdf version.. And load-displacement curves respectively in the condition of compressing, cutting and bending under certain operating mode are obtained. The test result indicates that: the rape stalk is heterogeneous, non-linear and anisotropic, and there is no yield in the destruction process; Meanwhile, the main mechanical characteristic embodies in the outer wall of stalk, so the rape stalk can be simplified as hollow pipe model in the research on the resistance loading capability of rape stalk and the mechanization harvest technology. The results can supply theory foundation and basic technology parameters to determine the cutting stress, the form of cutting tools and cutting mode in the mechanization harvest. And it also has important theory value and practical significance to develop new style of rape with lodging resistance and design mechanized harvester with low energy consumption and high efficiency.
