Abstract We have observed an I =1 resonance decaying into π − η , in the reaction K − n→ Λπ − η , (η decaying into neutrals), at a mass of 0.98±0.01 GeV with a Γ of 60±30 GeV. The production cross section is (15±3) μ b.
