Inclusive K/sup 0//K-bar/sup 0/, ..lambda../sup 0/, and Lambda-bar/sup 0/ cross sections have been determined using a 292-event/mb exposure of the hydrogen-filled 15-foot bubble chamber at Fermilab. From the invariant-mass distributions of V/sup 0/..pi../sup + -/ pairs we find that sigma(K*/sup + -/(890))=4.4 +- 1.4 mb, sigma(..sigma..*/sup + -/(1385))=0.54 +- 0.40 mb, and sigma(Sigma-bar*/sup + -/(1385))=0.45 +- 0.34 mb. It is estimated that 0.32 +- 0.11 of K/sup 0//K-bar/sup 0/s, 0.21 +- 0.16 of ..lambda..s, and 0.96 +- 0.75 of Lambda-bars originate from decays of K*(890) and ..sigma..*(1385), respectively.

Inclusive V/sup 0/ production in 6.5-GeV/c K/sup -/p interactions is studied using the ANL 12-ft-diameter hydrogen bubble chamber. The total cross sections for inclusive K-bar/sup 0/ and ..lambda../sup 0/ production are sigma (K-bar/sup 0/) = 7.98 +- 0.49 mb and sigma (..lambda../sup 0/) = 3.94 +- 0.24 mb. Semi-inclusive differential cross sections are determined as functions of Feynman x and transverse momentum squared of the V/sup 0/s, and of four-momentum transfer to the V/sup 0/. The average charge multiplicity, the ratio /D, and the correlation function f/sub 2//sup cc/ for the neutrally charged hadronic system recoiling from the V/sup 0/ are determined as functions of the mass of the recoiling system. Results are used to examine universal aspects of multiparticle production.
