Abstract The paper deals with the problem of a dynamic analysis of truck-cranes. Therefore, the article has developed a mechanical-mathematical model having 18 generalized coordinates. Depending on the type of truck crane operation as well as on the fact whether the aim of the article is to conduct the dynamic analysis of the whole truck crane or only that of one of its components, simpler mechanical models are also offered. The presented model is more realistic than those describing the dynamic behaviour of the truck-crane performing all necessary functions, i.e. a mobile means of lifting, transportation and reloading.

Abstract The papers goal is to unify practical and theoretical aspects of internalisation of external costs, in line with the “polluter pays” and “user pays” principles. Due to the impossibility of applying an ideal economic solution for internalisation of external costs, alternative solutions have to be developed and implemented. One of the possible solutions for internalisation of external costs of CO2 and pollutant emissions from passenger cars is presented in this paper. It is a new methodology for calculating annual circulation taxes on passenger cars. This methodology, besides CO2, also takes into account the pollutants whose emissions are regulated by the Euro standards (CO, HC, NOx and PM), as well as the vehicle age and kilometres driven. The proposed methodology has been tested on some of the best-selling passenger cars in Europe. The results of analysis show significant differences between our methodology and the methodologies that are used in five European countries (Ireland, the United Kingd...

Abstract In an era of increased scarcity of resources and pollution, the concept of the circular economy is re-emerging to steer supply chains towards more sustainable business practices. The potential of value recovery provides opportunities for the creation of circular supply chains. Reverse flows and value recovery processes are scarcely studied in the context of fresh food supply chains. In this paper, we report findings from an empirical study of three fresh food supply chain networks by considering: product residual value, quantities available for recovery, value from recovery and markets for recovered products. We show that (1) financial value from recovery is a necessary condition for profitability of operations of any value recovery process in fresh food supply chains, but not for the occurrence of the corresponding loop itself; (2) reuse and remanufacturing loops likely feed into alternative markets, while recycling loops likely feed back into fresh food supply chains.

Architecture, being an inexhaustible source of ideas for shaping both interior and exterior, is in high demand of the development of novel methods for geometric form generation. Nowadays the architectural objects, in regard to high degree of computer design and material technology development, are realizing as complex geometrical structures. Directorial surfaces are created on the basis of the specific set of rules, being a locus of points in space with the constant either sum of distances from predefined line directors. In this paper we derive the mathematical model for the particular directorial surfaces’ generation which seems to be suitable for cupola design. Representative Serbian buildings are analyzed and the possible reconstruction of their cupola are suggested.
