A spontaneous response, quick shift times and direct multiple down-shifts at kickdown will enthuse also the Mini pilot who prefers a sporty driving style for an automatic transmission. The new 5-speed manual gearbox for Mini One and Mini Cooper

In the model year 2005 Mini One and Mini Cooper have been equipped with a new 5-speed manual gearbox. The gearbox has been specially developed for Mini and the transmission ratios adapted to the performance characteristics of the Mini range. Furthermore, the gearbox is characterised by a substantial reduction in weight, as well as a noticeably improved gearshift performance.

Im Rahmen einer Modelluberarbeitung zum Modelljahr 2005 erhielten der Mini One und der Mini Cooper ein neu entwickeltes Funfgang-Handschaltgetriebe. Der Mini Cooper S ist ab sofort mit einem Sechsgang-Automatikgetriebe verfugbar. Ein sehr spontanes Ansprechverhalten, kurze Schaltzeiten und direkte Mehrfachruckschaltungen beim Kickdown begeistern auch den sportlich orientierten Mini-Fahrer fur ein Automatikgetriebe. Zugunsten des hoheren Fahrkomforts muss beim Mini Cooper S Automatic nicht auf eine erstklassige Fahrdynamik verzichtet werden.

The continuously variable automatic transmission for the new Mini

The design of the Mini, its running gear and powertrain afford the new Mini a premium position in its segment.
