DACS System's Implementation Method to Realize the Next Generation Policy-Based Network Management Scheme

Kazuya Odagiri; Shogo Simizu; Rihito Yaegashi; Masaharu Takizawa; Naohiro Ishii

As the work for managing a whole network effectively without a limited purpose, there is the work of a PBNM (Policy-based network management). The PBNM has two structural problems such as communication concentration from many clients to a communication control mechanism called PEP (Policy Enhancement Point) and the necessity of the network system updating at the time of introducing the PBNM into LAN. Moreover, user support problems in campus-like computer networks such as trouble user support at updating a client’s setups and coping with annoying communication cannot be improved by the PBNM. To improve these problems, we have been shown a next generation PBNM which overcomes theses problems and has the function which does not exist in the existing PBNM, and called it a DACS (Destination Addressing Control System) Scheme. By the DACS Scheme, communication concentration from many clients to the PEP is solved, and system updating becomes unnecessary. Moreover, user support at updating the client’s setups and coping with annoying communication by the DACS Scheme becomes very effective. In this study, we implement a DACS system to realize a concept of the DACS Scheme.

Internet live streaming services are now popular. Music live performances are one of the best contents for live streaming. However, remote audience cannot enjoy the performance as well as local audience due to the lack of mutual awareness. In this paper, we define some challenging problems with streaming services for music live performances, and give a basic system design towards solving the problems.

Test case selection technique for regression testing using differential control flow graphs

Shun Akimoto; Rihito Yaegashi; Tomohiko Takagi

This paper shows a new technique to select effective test cases for regression testing of software. In the technique, an UCN (update complexity number) of each module of software under test is calculated based on a differential control flow graph, and then test cases that execute modules with larger UCNs are selected automatically.

The lecture contents with index for self study and its system

Takuya Saitoh; Rihito Yaegashi; Toshihiro Hayashi

We developed the system which supports users self-study by using some lecture contents, and this system can count the total number of views and show them. This paper describes the system which enables to play back the scene which users want to watch in the lecture contents. This paper also describes how this system counts the total number of views and shows them.

Self-study support system using the lecture contents: Creation of study ontology from syllabuses

Takuya Saitoh; Rihito Yaegashi; Toshihiro Hayashi

Now, there are many systems to create lecture contents. However, there is no research and system for self-study support by using lecture contents. It is because we have nothing to define the study rules that we cannot study by using lecture contents. This paper describes the methods to create the study ontology which define study sequence and study rule from the syllabuses for self-study by using lecture contents.

Decision-Making about Software Release Time Using Analytic Hierarchy Process

Takuya Arao; Yoshinobu Machida; Ken Toda; Rihito Yaegashi; Tomohiko Takagi

This paper shows a systematic method to decide software release time using AHP (analytic hierarchy process). The method helps a project team to make a correct decision about the software release time by combining multiple evaluations obtained from different viewpoints. In general, it is difficult to obtain quantitative evaluations of all the aspects to be considered in a software development project, due to the lack of methodologies, manpower, and information. Therefore, qualitative evaluation based on the intuition and experience of specialists in software development, software sales activities, management, etc. is incorporated into the decision-making process.

Extended Distribution System for Electronic Document Distribution as the Application Realized on the Network Introducing DACS Scheme

Kazuya Odagiri; Syougo Shimizu; Rihito Yaegashi; Naohiro Ishii

An Electronic medium is not always used in the educational sites all over the world for teaching. This is because of the following two drawbacks. First, it is difficult for a teacher to understand the laws governing the document distribution in educational site on own country. Second, when the teacher is not very computer savvy, managing document distribution becomes troublesome and stressful. Therefore, a system that facilitates easy document distribution is required. However, because laws have already been established in each country, developing a system on the basis of the system requirements that are derived from those laws produces a different system in each country. Therefore, we aim at realizing a standard system by considering the common factors all over the world for developing a system. As a first step, the system that facilitates distribution through an electronic medium in the educational site is proposed and examined under the two factors: time factor (whether it is class time or not) and physical factor (whether the student is present in classroom or not), i.e., under a face-to-face class. Such a system is called a document copying/distribution system that conforms to copyright protection laws (Distribution System). The Distribution System has a single drawback for the user and for the network administrator. In this paper, to solve these drawbacks, a DACS portal realized by a dynamic display function of a static document realized on the network introducing Destination Addressing Control System (DACS) Scheme is applied to the Distribution System. A mechanism that is easy to use for the user and is easy to manage for the network administrator is realized.

We developed the system which creates lecture contents by a combination of various units and learning contents. This system can divide lecture contents into each unit and learning contents by using syllabus metadata generated from the syllabus. This system also can create lecture contents combined with various units and learning contents from systemized lecture information. This paper describes a method to systematize relations between lecture and automatic generation of lecture contents combined with various units and learning contents from systemized lecture information.

Many sightseeing spots distributes sightseeing guidebooks of paper media at facilities such as tourist information centers, hotels, and stations which are the base of sightseeing. A paper sightseeing guidebook is valuable means to collect sightseeing information for tourists. However, from the tourist’s side, it is difficult to quickly find guidebook that one wants because too many kinds of guidebooks are distributed. From the information provider side, if the content of the guidebook changes, it is necessary to collect and correct the once distributed guidebooks and rebuild and redistribute. Also, there is a problem that it is impossible to grasp the use situation of the guide book. We developed the sightseeing guidebook automatic generation printing system according to the attribute of tourists (KadaTabi). KadaTabi is a system that creates recommended sightseeing guidebooks considering tourist attribute and sightseeing season and prints via a cloud printer. In this paper, we describe the development of a sightseeing guidebook automatic generation printing system according to tourist attributes (KadaTabi).

Development Case of Information Services to Accelerate Open Innovation and Implementation

Takayuki Kunieda; Yusuke Kometani; Naka Gotoda; Rihito Yaegashi

Diversification of customer’s demand, speeding up development, cost saving, globalization and the world are changing. Under such circumstances, open innovation is required in the creation and development of information services. Kagawa University has developed several information services cooperating with universities, companies, and administrations so far. In this paper, we introduce three information services developed against administrative issues in collaboration with Kagawa University and Ricoh Co., Ltd. Then, we explain the necessity of open innovation, development method necessary to realize open innovation, importance of demonstration experiment.
