Robert Adamson is codirector of Paper Bark Press and has been editor of New Poetry since 1980. He is the author of eight collections of verse, from Canticles on the Skin (1970) and The Rumour (1971) to The Law at Hearts Desire (1982) and The Clean Dark (1989), plus two editions of Selected Poems (1977, 1990), and coauthored the novel Zimmers Essay with Bruce Hannaford (1974). His poetry has been honored with several state and national literary awards.
