Featured researches published by Robert B. Pearson.

Communications of The ACM | 1985

Special-purpose processors in theoretical physics

Robert B. Pearson; John L. Richardson; Doug Toussaint

Specially designed processors can provide a method for attacking some of the difficult computational problems facing theoretical physicists.

Physical Review D | 1976

Practical lower bound for scalar fields on a lattice

Robert B. Pearson

A simple lower bound on the ground-state energy density is derived for a scalar field on a lattice. This bound is applied to phi/sup 4/ theory in one space and one time dimension and the results compared with available upper bounds. (AIP)
