Report of the Committee on Entomological Nomenclature

The new Intemational Code of Zoological Nomenclature was published late last year (November 6, 1961), and most use and study of it have come during the current year. The Chairman outlined controversial areas and possible questions, compiled the reactions of Committee members, and drafted and submitted statements to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature. A number of amendments to the Code are said to have been proposed, and presumably these will be published in the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature during the coming months. These should be studied by the Committee 1963, preparatory to their consideration at the XVI International Congress of Zoology at Washington, D. c., August 1963.
