Rolf Kuschel; Susanne Willerup

AbstractOver the last few years, the Danish authorities have experienced a steady increase of cases of violence against public servants. It appears that the employees of the Social and Health Services constitute a special high-risk group exposed to violent acts of threatening situations.A new policy has been decided upon by several Danish municipalities to safeguard these employees against the psychological and physical violence from their clients. A model, based on different approaches, has been developed for successful strategies of prevention.
