Osteochondroma of the mandibular condyle. Report of a case with 10-year follow-up.

A case of osteochondroma of the mandibular condyle has been presented, along with a review of the features of this lesion. A consideration of immediate condylar replacement after benign tumor surgery of the condyle is discussed.

Giant cell tumor of the mandible

A case of giant cell tumor of the mandible is presented, with treatment and follow-up for two and a half years. Although the lesion had characteristics of giant cell granuloma described by Jaffe, its aggressive clinical behavior influenced the diagnosis and treatment. Prosthetic rehabilitation was accomplished with a mandibular staple bone plate placed through a bone graft.

Chain saw injury of the maxillofacial region

A case of facial chain saw injury has been presented, along with a review of the literature and a discussion of the preoperative and postoperative management. The mechanism of injury and recommendations to reduce the incidence of maxillofacial injuries are also discussed.

Complete extrusion of an endodontic silver point through the body of the mandible. Report of a case.

Abstract A 48-year-old white woman underwent endodontic treatment of the lower right second premolar, which was sealed with a silver point. The silver point later extruded itself through the body of the mandible and exited submandibularly through the skin.
