Radio-over-free-space optics (Ro-FSO) technology harnesses the large capacity of optical fiber and the mobility native to wireless networks. To increase the capacity of Ro-FSO networks, this work introduces a new optical mode division multiplexing (MDM) scheme for Ro-FSO by incorporating optical Hermite-Gaussian modes HG 0, 1 and HG 0, 3 for transmitting two distinct 2.5 Gbps data modulated on 10 GHz radio subcarriers. Signal-to-noise ratios and bit-error-rates show successful 2 × 2.5Gbps data transmission of 10GHz radio-modulated subcarriers over the two HG optical carriers through a 800m free-space channel.

A new, robust integrated priority-based cell attenuation model for dynamic cell sizing is proposed and simulated using real mobile traffic data. The proposed model is an integration of two main components; the modified virtual community–parallel genetic algorithm (VC-PGA) cell priority selection module and the evolving fuzzy neural network (EFuNN) mobile traffic prediction module. The VC-PGA module controls the number of cell attenuations by ordering the priority for the attenuation of all cells based on the level of mobile level of mobile traffic within each cell. The EFuNN module predicts the traffic volume of a particular cell by extracting and inserting meaningful rules through incremental, supervised real-time learning. The EFuNN module is placed in each cell and the output, the predicted mobile traffic volume of the particular cell, is sent to local and virtual community servers in the VC-PGA module. The VC-PGA module then assigns priorities for the size attenuation of all cells within the network, based on the predicted mobile traffic levels from the EFuNN module at each cell. The performance of the proposed module was evaluated on five adjacent cells in Selangor, Malaysia. Real-time predicted mobile traffic from the EFuNN structure was used to control the size of all the cells. Results obtained demonstrate the robustness of the integrated module in recognizing the temporal pattern of the mobile traffic and dynamically controlling the cell size in order to reduce the number of calls dropped.

The evolution of information and communication technologies (ICT) nowadays has changed the life style of human living. The current modern societies have adopted ICT as an important thing that they are really needed in their life, especially as a tool to be used for communications activity. However, unfortunately ICT also exposed its user in circumstances of risk, threats and vulnerability. This paper will discuss the risk and threats to the users who are using social media as a medium to communicate. In this paper, the fraction of user will be divided by two types which are gender and working experience. The data that obtained from the distributed of questionnaires among respondent will be analysed by using SPSS. Data will be analysed by using two-way ANOVA statistic in order to examine the significant level in between gender and working experience as an independent variable in this study with the level of threats in cybersecurity risk towards lecturers who are working in higher education institutions in Malaysia. This article also will provide an empirical data and will be referred to another researcher in the future for their further research perhaps.

Modelling association football or soccer prediction model has become a popular issue among scholars in the last few years. This paper is set to study a Bayesian networks (BNs) for football match outcome prediction. The main objective of this paper is to review the application of Bayesian networks (BNs) in football match prediction. This review may be useful for future researchers in developing new prediction model using BNs that incorporate several new features alongside with other existing features that contribute to increase the predictive performance of football prediction model.

In image steganography, the most popular and widely used techniques is the least significant bit (LSB) that hide data into a cover-image in a spatial and discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain as well. Beside the LSB technique, there is other technique that is also influential i.e support vector machine (SVM) normally used to strengthen the embedding algorithm. Whatever techniques used in the image steganography field, the main purpose is to keep the existence of the secret-message secret. This paper designing the new model is proposed called StegaSVM-Shifted LSB model in DCT domain to preserve the imperceptibility and increase the robustness of stego-images. The StegaSVM-Shifted LSB model that has been proposed that utilize HVS and embedding technique through Shifted LSB showed a good performance.

Received Mar 3, 2018 Revised Apr 11, 2018 Accepted Apr 21, 2018 Paintball has gained a huge popularity in Malaysia with growing number of tournaments organized nationwide. Currently, Ideal Pro Event, one of the paintball organizer found difficulties to pair a suitable opponent to against one another in a tournament. This is largely due to the manual matchmaking method that only randomly matches one team with another. Consequently, it is crucial to ensure a balanced tournament bracket where eventual winners and losers not facing one another in the very first round. This study proposes an intelligent matchmaking using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and tournament management system for paintball organizers. PSO is a swarm intelligence algorithm that optimizes problems by gradually improving its current solutions, therefore countenancing the tournament bracket to be continually improved until the best is produced. Indirectly, through the development of the system, it is consider as an intelligence business idea since it able to save time and enhance the company productivity. This algorithm has been tested using 3 size of population; 100, 1000 and 10,000. As a result, the speed of convergence is consistent and has not been affected through big population.N. N. S. A single hop network called piconet is the basic communication topology of bluetooth which allows only eight active devices for communication among them seven are active slaves controlled by one master. Multiple piconets are interconnected through a common node, known as Relay, to form a massive network called as Scatternet. It is obvious that the performance of Scatternet scheduling is highly dependent and directly proportionate with the performance of the Relay node. In contrary, by reducing the number of Relays, it may lead to poor performance, since every Relay has to perform and support several piconet connections. The primary focus of this study is to observe the performance metrics that affects the inter-piconet scheduling since the Relay node’s role is like switch between multiple piconets. In this paper, we address and analyze the performance issues to be taken into consideration for efficient data flow in Scatternet based on Relay node.
