Structure of three new uranyl complexes with 3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-5-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazoles was proposed basing on IR, UV spectroscopy, NMR and MALDI mass spectrometry data analysis. It was shown prospective using of triazoles as analytical reagents for fluorescence determination of uranyl ion.

Synthesis and study of novel 1,2,4-triazolylacetic acid derivatives

Dmitro M. Khomenko; Roman O. Doroshchuk; Oleksandr V. Vashchenko; Rostyslav D. Lampeka

A range of 1,2,4-triazolylacetic acids and their derivatives with various substituents at the triazole ring position 3 have been synthesized. The properties of the obtained compounds were studied, showing that: 1) triazolylacetic esters are strong acylating agents; 2) all the obtained triazolylacetic acids underwent decarboxylation when heated to the melting point; 3) the CH2 group in the acetyl moiety can react as methylene component in condensation reactions.

N′-(2-Hydroxybenzylidene)-2-(hydroxyimino)propanohydrazide

Maxym O. Plutenko; Rostyslav D. Lampeka; Yurii S. Moroz; Matti Haukka; Svetlana Pavlova

The molecule of the title compound, C10H11N3O3, adopts an all-trans conformation and is approxomately planar, the largest deviation from the least-squares plane through all non-H atoms being 0.261 (1) Å. An intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, the molecules are packed into layers lying parallel to the ab plane by π-stacking interactions between the benzene ring of one molecule and the C—N bond of the oxime group of another molecule; the shortest intermolecular C⋯C separation within the layer is 3.412 (1) Å. The layers are connected by O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Synthesis, spectroscopic, structural characterization of Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes based on the N-methyl-C-(2-pyridyl)nitrone

Ilona V. Raspertova; Roman O. Doroschuk; Dmytro M. Khomenko; Rostyslav D. Lampeka

Abstract Zinc and cadmium complexes, ML2(NO3)2 (L = N-methyl-C-(2-pyridyl)nitrone) were synthesized and characterized by means of X-ray diffraction crystallography and IR and NMR spectroscopy. The organic ligands in the complexes are coordinated via the oxygen atom of the nitrone group and the nitrogen atom of the pyridine moiety. The coordination environment of the central atoms is a distorted octahedron. The bond lengths and angles of the complexes were calculated using the DFT method with B3LYP functional. Theoretical studies revealed that the geometric parameters are in agreement with the experimental data. The fluorescent properties for the zinc and cadmium complexes were investigated at room temperature.

Influence of the nature of the substituent in 3-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole for complexation with Pd 2+

Borys V. Zakharchenko; Dmytro M. Khomenko; Roman O. Doroshchuk; Olga V. Severynovska; Ilona V. Raspertova; Victoria S. Starova; Rostyslav D. Lampeka

The structure of four new palladium complexes [Pd(HL2)Cl2 and Pd(L1–3)2] with 3-(2-pyridyl)-5-R-1,2,4-triazoles (R=H, CH3, Ph respectively HL1, HL2, HL3) was proposed based on IR, NMR, UV spectroscopy and MALDI mass spectrometry data analysis. It is found that the complexation of HL2 and HL3 with Pd2+ ions results in a decrease of their fluorescence intensity and it is vice versa in case of HL1. Furthermore, the influence of the substituent (R) in the 3-(2-pirydyl)-5-R-1,2,4-triazoles on the fluorescent and protolytic properties of HL1–3 was investigated.
