The vision of achieving self-management in our computing and communications systems has come to light as part of a number of similar initiatives, one of which is Organic Computing.Model-driven engineering, and its various forms is a software development methodology focusing on creating models and abstractions for a specific domain. We will compare these approaches in our position statement.
