In this study, the solvent extraction of Pd(II) from hydrochloric acid solutions was investigated using the new synthesized material, 2-ethylhexyl benzothiazolyl sulfide (EHBTS) which was dissolved in xylene. Pd(II) was strongly extracted by 7% EHBTS in a lower concentration hydrochloric acid solution. Extraction parameters of Pd(II), including EHBTS concentration in different diluents, contact time of aqueous and organic phases, organic/aqueous (O/A) phase ratio and HCl concentration of aqueous phase, were studied. Quantitative extraction of Pd(II) occurred at 0.1 mol.L-1 of HCl concentration, 7% of EHBTS concentration, 1.0 of O/A, 40 min of contact time. In addition, the percentage stripping of Pd(II) could be more than 98% when thiourea concentration was 0.8 mol.L-1. EHBTS can be used more than 8 as extractant to extract of Pd(II) from hydrochloric acid solutions.

The size controlled colloidal gold nanoparticles were prepared by sodium citrate photochemical system. The size and morphology of the gold nanoparticles were characterized by TEM and UV-Vis spectroscopy. nanoAu/C catalysts were obtained by loading the gold nanoparticles. The catalysts were used for the catalytic oxidation reaction of glyoxal and glucose in liquid phase. The research results showed that the catalysts had higher catalytic activity, and this preparation method is successful.

The analytical method on sodium sulfide, sodium sulfite, sodium hydroxide and sodium thiosulfate in sodium polysulfide solution was studied in this paper. The questions in concealing sodium sulfite by formaldehyde and precipitating sodium sulfide by zine acetate, a common method reported in some papers before, was discussed. The improvement on concealing Na2SO3 by SrCl2 instead of formaldehyde and precipitating Na2S by Zn(OH)2 instead of Zn(Ac)2 and testing concentration of NaOH in the mixture, was studied. The results showed that new method is simpler, more rapid, more completely and accurate, the overwhelming reason being that it had no effect on stability of sodium polysulfide.

Sulfuric Acid precure Pressure-atmospheriation leaching process from tin dust was studied. The factors had been investigated, which effects indium leaching rate, the factors are :the sulfuric acid initial temperature, curing time of heat, acid dosage, leaching reaction time, leaching temperature, the liquid-solid ratio and so on.The results show that the indium, zinc and tin leaching rate can be 96.68%, 97.70% and 0.52%,while pressure-atmospheriation leaching is carried out under the initial temperature 140°C,sulfuric acid, the time of heat aging 40 min, acid dosage and tin of tobacco smoke mass ratio0.7:1, leaching time 1.5h, leaching temperature 90°C,and the liquid-solid ratio 4:1 conditions.

A novel method for preparing magnetic activated carbon (MAC) has been investigated in this paper. The MAC was prepared by the follow routes: it was impregnated with a ferric chloride solution in pH=9 which adjusted by ammonia. The precursor of activated carbon loaded the iron hydroxide was prepared by the impregnation-basified method and sealed the sample with charcoal powder. The MAC was prepared by high temperature atmospheric pressure reduction roasting. The results showed that the MAC which was prepared by pyrolytic process of ammonia precipitation and at 600°C under atmospheric pressure for roasting 3-4 hours, the Fe(II)/Fe(III) molar ratio was 0.506 , the MAC accounts for 82.1% of total activated carbon and the ferric ion in MAC was 5.3% . The similar effect of pure activated carbon was observed in acid fuchsin solution test with MAC for decolorization. It subsidented quickly and separated completely under the guidance of magnetic field.

The extraction process of cobalt using microemulsion system saponified with P204 as extracting agent was studied. The influence of initial concentration, the concentration of P204, initial pH, the extracting time and the concentration of cobalt and nickel on extraction coefficient were also studied. Experimental results show that the saponification microemulsion system using P204 as extractant is thermodynamic stable, and it can separate cobalt better. The optimum conditions were achieved as: the initial concentration is 0.05 mol/L, pH is 2; The concentration of P204 is 10%, extraction time is 10 min; The volume ratio of organic phase to water phase is 2:1.

ITO (Indium Tin Oxides) nano-powder was prepared by the method of ammonia complexation. The chemical composition, morphology and crystal structure were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) ,transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis(XPS). Base on the nucleation and growth mechanism of the powder, the temperature of heat treatment impacting on size and morphology was discussed briefly. The results showed that the nano-ITO powder of particle size 20nm-40nm with well-pleasing particle shape and dispersion can be prepared at 800°C.

Nano-Au/C catalysts were obtained by loading the gold nanoparticles which were prepared by photochemical reduction method to the activated carbon, and were used for the catalytic oxidation reaction of glyoxal into glyoxylic acid. The influence of temperature and pH on the catalytic activity, and the mechanism of Au/C catalyst on catalytic oxidation of glyoxal were discussed. The optimum conditions are: the amount ratio of Au: glyoxal is 1:1000; The pH of solution can be controlled between 8.2 to 8.4 by using 1.00 mol/L NaOH solution under 45°C.

This paper deals with the extraction of L-theanine containing Aliquat 336 and Di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(P204) as combined carriers and cyclohexane as solvent across bulk liquid membrane. A mathematical model of transport process was deduced, the forward and the backward interfacial reaction rate constants between the feed phase, the receiving phase and the membrane phase were taken into account. Using the experimental results, several parameters of the proposed model have been achieved by a nonlinear fitting method. It is a simply mathematical model which can be easily used to predict the concentration of the extraction process.
