Gerlachia oryzae in rice seed

M.A.T. Mia; S Mathur; Paul Neergaard

Gerlachia oryzae was present in 744 samples of rice seed from 32 countries, out of 1625 samples tested from 42 countries. The fungus survived on seed for more than eleven years at 5 °C. The standard and deep-freezing blotter methods are equally effective in recording seed-borne infection of G. oryzae.
