Uma contribución de la semiótica para la comunicación visual en el área de la salud

Apresenta-se um modelo de analise proposto por Jean-Marie Floch como possibilidade para a criacao e avaliacao da comunicacao visual na area da saude, especialmente em campanhas educativas. Parte-se de questoes introdutorias acerca da semiotica, expoem-se alguns conceitos comuns a semiotica discursiva e a semioestetica, conforme postulado por Floch, e apresenta-se o modelo que tem a euforia e a disforia como oposicao semântica de base. Ao final, mostra-se a aplicacao do modelo em um cartaz de uma campanha preventiva contra doencas provocadas pelo fumo.

Relações intertextuais e sentidos dialógicos

The aim of this work is to identify how the syncretic or multimodal texts dialogue within themselves to produce meanings, indicating both the dialogical movements of approximation and meanings generated in the intervallic spaces - hiatus, that is to say, the complex intertextual or interdiscursive relations established between texts of different aesthetic languages. A brief bibliographic review present the concepts that are the basis of the research such as text, enunciation, discourse, dialogism, intertextuality, interdiscursivity, polyphony, multimodality, syncretism, hiatus, according to authors as Bakhtin and Volochinov (1999), Kristeva (1974), Fiorin (1994), Landowski (2004), Ramalho e Oliveira (2016). The methodology is qualitative, descriptive and dialogical; the analyzed empirical object is a comic strip. As results, we point out the effects of meaning generated from the dialogic relations and hiatus.

The appearance of the technology, virtual communication and the search mechanisms have allowed beside the existence of online scientific periodics that have the same quality as the printed ones, as well as the inedited and unpremeditated academic shares such as the one that has made possible the production of this article: without knowing each other in person, beyond the virtual means, two professors from distinct countries but with the same language, the Portuguese, who are interested in the same object of study, image reading, but with theoretical bases – even traditions – totally different between them, they join to make a theoretical and analytical exercise. We are talking about the Heraldic Art and the Visual Semiotic. The first one is based on the symbolic processes; the second one establishes a neologism as a concept: the semi-symbolism. What is equal and what is distinct when both of them examine the same empirical object, the coat of arms of Pope Francis?

Leitura de imagens, e não só: leitura da vida

In this text, I return to the research’s problem of my doctoral thesis defended in the nineties, which is about the access to aesthetic goods, to from it to reflect on the opportunity of its presence in contemporary discussions about art education, where concepts as access, inclusion and routine are repeatedly running. To try to cope with that problem, I dedicated myself to an image reading proposal, an educational development of Ana Claudia de Oliveira’s semiotic studies and her predecessors of the Ecole de Paris. After twenty years, I seek to clarify fundamental concepts such as aesthetic in relation to the artistic and even the notion of image. I note the progress of the renewed development of post-Greimasian discursive semiotics, but I do not renounce the didactic syntheses that the semiotic thought offers.

O esperado e o inesperado: manifestações do público escolar diante da arte contemporânea

In this paper we present and discuss an Art exhibition project entitled Natureza-Viva (Nature-Alive) that contains elements that are characteristic of contemporary Art. Data were collected at three editions of the exhibition, held in the Brazilian cities of Canoinhas, Lages and Florianopolis, all in the state of Santa Catarina. Visitors’ testimonials and comments were organized into categories and analyzed. O objetivo deste artigo e propor a aplicacao da tecnica de avaliacao heuristica de interface ja na etapa de Superficie, antes mesmo do projeto ser disponibilizado ao usuario final, no metodo de projeto de interfaces web centrado no usuario de Jesse James Garrett, em funcao da provavel reducao do retrabalho e, por consequencia, do custo de desenvolvimento de projeto, de uma maneira geral.
