On Combined Effects of Heat Transfer and Chemical Reaction for the Flow through an Asymmetric Channel with Orthogonally Deformable Porous Walls

Syed Tauseef Mohyud-Din; Naveed Ahmed; Umar Khan; Asif Waheed; Saqib Hussain; Maslina Darus

The combined effects of heat transfer and chemical reaction are studied for the flow through a semi-infinite asymmetric channel with orthogonally deformable porous walls. The similarity transforms have been used to reduce the conservation laws to a corresponding system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The resulting equations are solved, both analytically and numerically, by using Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) and the fourth-order Runge-Kutta (RK-4) method, respectively. The convergence of the analytical solution is assured through the so-called total squared residual error analysis. The optimal values of auxiliary parameters are obtained by minimizing the total squared residual error.

Common fixed points of Chatterjea type fuzzy mappings on closed balls

Akbar Azam; Saqib Hussain; Muhammad Arshad

We establish some common fixed point theorems for Chatterjea fuzzy mappings on closed balls in a complete metric space. Our investigation is based on the fact that fuzzy fixed point results can be obtained simply from the fixed point theory of mappings on closed balls. In real-world problems, there are various mathematical models in which the mappings are contractive on the subsets of a space under consideration but not on the whole space itself. It seems that this technique of finding the fuzzy fixed points was ignored. Our results generalize several important results of the literature.

Convolution operators in the geometric function theory

Zahid Shareef; Saqib Hussain; Maslina Darus

The study of operators plays a vital role in mathematics. To define an operator using the convolution theory, and then study its properties, is one of the hot areas of current ongoing research in the geometric function theory and its related fields. In this survey-type article, we discuss historic development and exploit the strengths and properties of some differential and integral convolution operators introduced and studied in the geometric function theory. It is hoped that this article will be beneficial for the graduate students and researchers who intend to start work in this field.MSC:30C45, 30C50.

Some applications of Miller–Mocanu lemma on certain classes of meromorphic functions

Saqib Hussain

In this paper, making use of a linear operator we introduce and study certain new classes of meromorphic functions. We derive some inclusion results. These classes contain many known classes as a special case.

Certain Geometric Properties of Generalized Dini Functions

Muhey U Din; Mohsan Raza; Saqib Hussain; Maslina Darus

We are mainly interested in some geometric properties for the combinations of generalized Bessel functions of the first kind and their derivatives known as Dini functions. In particular, we study the starlikeness of order convexity of order , and close-to-convexity of order for normalized Dini function. We also study close-to-convexity with respect to certain star-like functions. Further, we obtain conditions on generalized Dini function to belong to the Hardy space

Class of Analytic Function Related with Uniformly Convex and Janowski’s Functions

Akhter Rasheed; Saqib Hussain; Muhammad Asad Zaighum; Maslina Darus

In this paper, we introduce a new subclass of analytic functions in open unit disc. We obtain coefficient estimates, extreme points, and distortion theorem. We also derived the radii of close-to-convexity and starlikeness for this class.

On subclass of meromorphic multivalent functions associated with Liu-Srivastava operator

Saqib Hussain; Jamila Bibi; Mohsan Raza; Maslina Darus

In the present paper, we introduce a new subclass related to meromorphically p-valent reciprocal starlike functions associated with the Liu-Srivastava operator. Some sufficient conditions for functions belonging to this class are derived. The results presented here improve and generalize some known results. c ©2017 All rights reserved.

A Subclass of Analytic Functions Related to k -Uniformly Convex and Starlike Functions

Saqib Hussain; Akhter Rasheed; Muhammad Asad Zaighum; Maslina Darus

We investigate some subclasses of -uniformly convex and -uniformly starlike functions in open unit disc, which is generalization of class of convex and starlike functions. Some coefficient inequalities, a distortion theorem, the radii of close-to-convexity, and starlikeness and convexity for these classes of functions are studied. The behavior of these classes under a certain modified convolution operator is also discussed.

Saqib Hussain; Shahid Khan; Muhammad Asad Zaighum; Maslina Darus; Zahid Shareef

We introduce in our present investigation a new subclass of analytic and biunivalent functions associated with Ruscheweyh -differential operator in open unit disk . We use the Faber polynomial expansions to find th coefficients bounds of class of bisubordinate functions and also find initial coefficient estimates.

A Subclass of Harmonic Functions Related to a Convolution Operator

Saqib Hussain; Akhter Rasheed; Maslina Darus

We introduce a new subclass of harmonic functions by using a certain linear operator. For this class we derive coefficient bounds, extreme points, and inclusion results and also show that this class is closed under an integral operator.
