Sara H. Mitchell; Vincent J. Varano; Michael J. Komar

Purpose: Cutaneous or metastatic Crohns disease is extremely rare. We present a case of cutaneous Crohns disease that was successfully treated with Infliximab.

Multiple myeloma metastatic to the liver

Pallavi Purohit; Sara H. Mitchell; Steve Meschter; Robert E. Smith

Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematological disease involving malignant proliferation of plasma cells in bone marrow. Metastatic spread of this disorder to liver is reported in literature as a postmortem finding at autopsy, with an incidence of 20–40%. In vivo detection of liver involvement is very rare and most commonly is suspected ante mortem only on the basis of abnormal liver function tests, hepatomegaly, or jaundice. We report a unique case of multiple myeloma metastatic to the liver detected by right upper quadrant ultrasound and CT guided liver biopsy.
