ABSTRACT. Proceratophrys melanopogon is always observed at high altitudes, having never been diagnosed in altered areas. The advertisement call of this species is described from Serra do Brigadeiro, state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. The call consists of a multipulsed (12–41 pulses) note with a mean duration of 0.39 s, emitted sporadically, and a dominant frequency around 1179 Hz. By comparing the call of P. melanopogon with other species of the genus it is possible to establish similarities and differences among the analyzed parameters.

ABSTRACT. Herein we report the rediscovery of the torrent frog Hylodes babax, a species considered as “Data Deficient”, based on specimens from two new localities: Parque Estadual da Serra do Brigadeiro, in the Mantiqueira mountain range, and Floresta Estadual do Uaimií, in the southern Espinhaço mountain range, both conservation units in the State of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. These records are the first for the species outside of its type locality. FLOE Uaimií is also the most inland record for H. babax. Notes on its natural history and comments about biogeography in southeastern Brazil are also presented.

Abstract. We describe the advertisement call of Proceratophrys pombali and provide data on its distribution and natural history in Núcleo Curucutu, Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar, Itanhaém, São Paulo, Brazil, and Mongaguá, São Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, we specify the precise location of the type locality and detail the environments where the species occurs. The advertisement call is composed of a single, multipulsed note, and its dominant frequency is the highest recorded for the P. appendiculata complex. The species has explosive reproduction and its distribution restricted to the central region of the Serra do Mar of the state of São Paulo.

Abstract. We describe the advertisement call and tadpole of Bokermannohyla vulcaniae from Parque Municipal Serra de São Domingos, Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. The advertisement call is composed of two pulsed notes and the duration of each call depends on the number of notes emitted. Tadpoles are oval and elongate. These data are compared with the information available for Bokermannohyla circumdata.

We provide a record of Proceratophrys renalis from the municipality of Pote, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and a map with the geographic distribution of the species. This is the southernmost record of P. renalis and the second record of the species in Minas Gerais, which extends its known geographic distribution in about 170 km southeast from the nearest record (municipality of Cristalia, Minas Gerais).

We provide the record of Ischnocnema oea in the municipality of Muriae, state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. This is the first record of this species in Minas Gerais, extending the know distribution of I. oea around 227 km southwest from its type locality.
