Voice Remote Controlled Tv Set

Summary set which is remote controlled by the commands of the human voice has been developed. The television isequipped with a spoken word recognition system which is controlled by an 8-bit microprocessor unit. The specific parameters extracted from the spoken words for television control must be registered in advance. When the voice signal is entered into the system the next time, the system compares the parameters of the spoken word with those of the registered words, recognizes it and then controls the TV set. The system can be applied to a remote controller or a man-machine interface system as well as this TV set. As yet,this system is experimenta1,so the practicalities of cost and size have not been fully determined. But, the target is to produce a system which can be adapted to consumer use.
