ABSTRACT: A junior homonym was detected amongst the beetles genus group names, and the following replacement name is proposed: Miksicus nom. nov. for Urbania Miksic, 1963. Accordingly, new combinations are herein proposed for the species group names currently included in this genus.

ABSTRACT Three species of the genus Mesosa Latreille, 1829; namely, Mesosa (Mesosa) curculionoides (Linnaeus, 1761), Mesosa (Mesosa) myops (Dalman, 1817) and Mesosa (Aphelocnemia) nebulosa (Fabricius, 1781) were recorded in Turkey. Mesosa obscuricornis Pic, 1894 is a new record for Turkey.
