The static and dynamic characteristics of Triangular Color pixel Arrangement TCA structure Alternating Current Plasma Display Panel AC PDP were observed with the variation of the discharge gas. We observed the characteristic changes of operation voltages, brightness and luminous efficacy with required addressing time for TCA structure AC PDP. And the performance was verified in a 42-in. diagonal WXGA PDP of 1024×768 format.

P-48: Influence of MgO Protecting Layer on the Response Time in AC-PDP

Discharge response time influenced by MgO protecting layer was investigated. A quantitative analysis of the impurity levels of the target materials either for electron beam evaporation and for sputtering method for MgO films revealed that the target purity and deposition temperature are key factors in determining response time in AC-PDP.
