Several researchers have reported that in some cases the crosstalk in the lossless ultra-high-speed parallel microstrip transmission lines does not necessarily reduce by increasing the spacing in between the two lines. In this study, the substrate loss parameters which are dielectric and conductor are included in the calculation. Furthermore, the influence of a near-by cover plate which provides shielding is also considered. The technique used to calculate the crosstalk is based upon accurate wide-range closed form expressions for the frequency-dependent parameters in conjunction with a linear system theory and Fourier theory. The simulations using Gaussian pulses with different widths as input source have indicated that the crosstalk decreases nonmonotonically for certain s/h and pulse-width of less than 20 picoseconds. Also the crosstalk can be reduced further by using a cover plate mounted sufficiently close to the transmission lines.

This paper deals with a modeling design of foot segment of lower limb prosthesis. An objective of the design is to provide smooth and active motion resembling that of human foot on gait. The foot motion was formulated as a two-boundary-value problem which calculus of variations was necessary to help determination of optimized solution. Minimum jerk was an optimization criterion used to determine and simulate the foot motion along foot-ground interface of gait by considering the active phase as a key. The simulations represented smooth and active foot motion resembling that of human foot in the smooth active phase of normal gait. These results supported using of minimum jerk to design foot actuating technique to enhance a smooth and active motion.

The Thai government is determined to transform Thailand from a low-cost manufacturing intensive to technology and innovation intensive country. The government has announced the “Digital Economy Plan” which is expected to promote advancement in business sector, creating new and highly skilled job opportunities, and bridging the digital divide gap in Thailand via social, education and equal access to internet. However, the key to bridging digital divide is creating availability of spectrum to drive broadband infrastructure projects to boost socio-economic development. In order to ensure successful implementation of the Digital Economy Plan, the Thai government needs to play a crucial role in ensuring coordination between all stakeholders including private investors and the telecommunications regulator. Nevertheless, due to limited availability and conflicting interests between stakeholders on spectrum, the regulator and government bodies is certain to face range of obstacles in assignment of spectrum for mobile broadband. The objective of this paper this study aims to put forward the social and economic impact of mobile broadband, international best practices on broadband regulation, positive impact of mobile broadband on different social and economic aspects. A supportive regulatory framework is also recommended to push mobile broadband as a contributor to transforming Thailand into a digital economy.

Nowadays, the application of wireless broadband has grown denser and tends to expand even more. This results in the soaring bandwidth needs to effectively support consumer demands. Besides, the growth in broadband connectivity through wireless networks has also brought about huge spectrum demands as well. As regards the soaring spectrum demands, if the regulators place importance on long-term spectrum planning through formulating the strategies and methods related to spectrum management, the country will be capable of supporting a great demand for spectrum in the future, maximizing the benefits of spectrum resources among populations as well as creating economic and social values for the country. Therefore, in order to ensure that the process will be carried out orderly, effectively, accurately, and appropriately, the related sectors should undertake some additional studies in accordance with domestic average spectrum demands to facilitate the drawing up of explicit plans that support the appropriate use of technological innovations, encourage the effective sharing of spectrum as well as shape up the policies to be more open and conform to the direction of future technological development. The objective of this paper is to introduce supportive regulatory strategies for the Thai telecom regulator. The recommendations in this paper will help the telecom regulator to foster the growth of Thai economy and serve the quality of life for the Thai society.

This paper deals with one algorithm used to manage Dynamic Spectrum (Dynamic Spectrum Management, DSM) called nonlinear programming. Now a day, DSM problem is an open problem that many scientists and researchers try to develop such a algorithm to manage the frequency ranging from 3 Khz to 300 Ghz called Radio Spectrum. Radio Spectrum is quite an important range of frequencies as this range may be used for wireless communication. In this paper, the problem is proposed as minimizing users budget since a users budget is quite important in the competitive market. Problem is set as a nonlinear programming with example to demonstrate the algorithm as well.
