SEQUENCE-SELECTIVE PEPTIDE BINDING WITH A SYNTHETIC RECEPTOR

Seung Soo Yoon; W. Clark Still

Abstract A dye-labeled variant of a highly substrate-selective synthetic receptor for peptides is described and its binding selectivity for certain di- and tripeptide sequences is elucidated using an encoded combinatorial library.

Cyclooligomeric receptors for the sequence selective binding of peptides. A tetrahedral receptor from trimesic acid and 1,2-diamines

Seung Soo Yoon; W. Clark Still

The first members of a new family of tetrahedral receptors (2) have been prepared from trimesic acid and certain chiral 1,2-diamines. A survey of the binding properties of one of these with a 50,000-member peptide library finds high selectivity for N-acetylated terminal residues (particularly Ac-(D)Gln) and the dipeptide sequence (L)Gln-(L)Pro.

Copper-catalyzed coupling of polymer bound iodide with organostannanes

Suk-Ku Kang; Jae-Sun Kim; Seok-Keun Yoon; Kwon-Ho Lim; Seung Soo Yoon

Abstract The copper iodide-catalyzed cross-coupling of polymer bound aryl iodide with organostannanes in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) was accomplished smoothly in the presence of NaCl.

Synthesis and properties of A4B6 cyclooligomeric receptors

Seung Soo Yoon; W. Clark Still

Abstract The highly selective peptide-binding properties of A 4 B 6 macrotricyclic receptors are not limited to previous structures where B = trans -1,2-diaminocyclohexane as we demonstrate by preparation and study of new A 4 B′ 6 receptors derived from acyclic diamines.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1993

Conformational flexibility and binding selectivity in a synthetic receptor for peptides

Seung Soo Yoon; Taxiarchis M. Georgiadis; W. Clark Still

Abstract As a test of the effect of conformational flexibility on binding selectivity, we compare the binding properties of the highly selective receptor 1 and its more flexible homolog 2.
