Oscillation condition of simultaneous multiple wavelength lasing

The oscillation condition of simultaneous multiple wavelength lasing (SMWL) has been established. The reliability of result has been verified by experiment. On the basis of this result, the SMWL have achieved in CW and pulse Nd: YAP laser at both 1.0795μm and 1.3414μm.

0.5981 μm Sum Frequency Mixing in KTP Crystal

Based on accurate values of refractive indices, the phase matching angles (θm) and effective nonlinear coefficients (deff) for type I and II sum frequency mixing of 1.0795 and 1.3414 μm radiations were calculated in KTP crystal. The optimum phase matching conditions are that θm = 75.74° in the XZ plane ( = 0) and deff = 17.42 × 10-9 esu. The calculated results agree well with the experimental results. Thus, the cw 0.5981 μm sum frequency radiation was achieved in KTP crystal using a 1.0795 and 1.3414 μm double-wavelength Nd:YAP cw laser.
