Sampled-Data Control for Singular Neutral System

Minjie Zheng; Yujie Zhou; Shenhua Yang; Lina Li; Yongfeng Suo

This study is concerned with the control problem for singular neutral system based on sampled-data. By input delay approach and a composite state-derivative control law, the singular system is turned into a singular neutral system with time-varying delay. Less conservative result is derived for the resultant system by incorporating the delay decomposition technique, Wirtinger-based integral inequality, and an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. Sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee that the resulting system is regular, impulse-free, and asymptotically stable with prescribed performance. Then, the sampled-data controller is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two simulation results have shown that the proposed method is effective.

Guoquan Chen; Yong Yin; Lina Li; Shenhua Yang

This paper defines the mechanism of the Personifying Intelligent Decision-making for Vessel Collision Avoidance(short form for PIDVCA)at open sea which involves ship anti-collision model, decision-making algorithm for ship collision avoidance and model for PIDCVA, all of which is based on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972(short form for RULE below) and the ordinary practice of seamen during which the experienced sailors takes action to avoid collision. The paper emphatically discusses the principle of the PIDVCA at open sea and introduces some typical simulation instances based on the safe navigation and automatic collision avoidance simulation testing platform and does some analytic work for those tests. Finally, the paper puts forward some unsolved issues during the research.

Yulu Pan; Shenhua Yang; Yongfeng Suo; Guoquan Chen

In order to support the comprehensive analysis of virtual simulation and scientific visualization of navigation environment in marine simulator, this paper carried out the visualization analysis of three-dimensional vector field data of flow field according to the space-time characteristics of river data. The paper analyzed the characteristics of the flow field data, obtained the results of dynamic three-dimensional streamline visualization of the flow field data through the calculation and display of streamline in the flow field, and completed the preliminary research on the virtual simulation of the stream field in the voyage environment. Keywords—visualization; interpretation; three-dimensional

Design of robust H ∞ controller for dynamic positioning ships based on sampled-data control

Minjie Zheng; Yujie Zhou; Shenhua Yang; Lina Li; Yongfeng Suo

This study is concerned with the robust H∞ control problem for dynamic positioning (DP) ships based on sampled-data. Input delay approach is used to convert the sampled-data DP ship system to a system with time-varying delay. Adequate condition is derived to determine the systems asymptotical stability and establish H∞ performance. Then sampled-data controller is obtained by means of linear matrix inequalities. Simulation results show that the proposed method and the designed controller for DP ships are effective in the existence of varying environment disturbance.
