Foreign development regarding devices for speed regulating of in-pipe robot inspection has been commercially applied in gas pipeline this decade, however, the results of theoretical and structural research on bypass device were scaled in and abroad after the research of literature. First, this paper deals with the new structure of a butterfly bypass-valve, the basic parts and working principle on this speed regulating unit. The using of a butterfly disc in bypass-hole of PIG (pipeline inspection gauge) can achieve a speed regulating purpose in bypass-PIG. Next, the theoretical model of pressure loss and regulating feasibility or ability of PIG are introduced by the similar mathematical model with a throttle valve. Finally, give the conclusion.

The technology of Pipeline high-pressure intelligent isolation is a new technology which has been developed by Company PSI since the 1990’s, and the core technology, packer’s sealing performance has been blocked from then on. In this paper, we study the Polyurethane columns specimen of different hardness though ANSYS, then fit with the curve from the experiments, in order to get the Polyurethane columns’ Mechanical constants of Model Mooney-Rivlin. Calculate the deformation between two statuses, then according to isolation pressure and anti-convexity of packer we choose the packer of appropriate hardness. Finally, analysis the packer under different pressure, get the working curve of isolation ability, and the outlet can be used in the design of packer.

High pressure isolation plug train is a remote control, tetherless, highly piggable and high pressure isolation tool. The advantage of using the pressure isolation tool is to minimize production down time. Domestic research has started recently because of the foreign blockade of its core technologies, there are no relative products coming out currently. The smartplug that have been mentioned consist of plugging module, pigging module, hydraulic power module and communication and control module. The paper describes design ideas of each module in detail respectively and according to the design methods the prototype with diameter of 12 inches has been produced so far. Sealing pressure achieves 10Mpa by experiment. Looking forward to the technology would be applied in pipeline valve replacements and repairs, riser replacements and repairs, pressure test of risers and pipelines, midline pipeline repairs and relative engineering areas.

In order to improve the reliability and security in production, effectively checking and maintaining equipment must be put into practice. In this paper, the on-condition maintenance period of the equipment is optimized by Monte-Carlo for the lowest maintenance cost in unit time by expressing the maintenance interval as an exponential function parameterizing Weibull’s distribution function。Finally, the oil centrifugal pump as an example was demonstrated. The results show that our model has the obvious economic benefits. The optimization analysis of equipment maintenance based on Monte-Carlo provides a theoretical basis for optimized detection and maintenance decisions.

Based on the variable stiffness elastic principle, completed three series of variable stiffness elastic suspension system design for the ocean pipe laying tensioners, effectively improved the clamping ability of the tensioner when the local pipe diameter is changing, and improved the overall stress environment of the tensioner. Established non-linear mathematical model and got the impact of instant response and response force by using the Matlab software.

Oil and gas pipelines must be cleaned regularly to ensure their normal operation. It is significant to track the pig when it’s working in the pipeline. With the GPS and GSM technology, this paper introduces a kind of intelligent pig tracking system, The system uses ultra-low frequency electromagnetic wave with strong penetrating to transmit data. It concludes two parts: transmitter part and receiving part. The transmitter part which connects with the pig is controlled by SCM, interval transmitting ultra-low frequency pulse signal. The receiving part uses AVR SCM as its core controller and is mainly composed of magnetic pulse signal receiving module, GSM module, GPS module and LCD module. When the pig is working, the transmitting part interval transmits ultra-low frequency pulse signal. After receiving the right signal, the receiving part will send the location information to the designated GSM handsets. This system makes pig remote monitoring come true.

S elbow in Zhijing River is one of the key parts in the East Gas Transmission Pipeline Project. It brings a great deal of uncertainty and risk factors for pipeline pigging operations. By analysis on dynamic of pig pigging and the impact over bending, this paper established the finite element model, simulated pigging process on the condition that the operating parameters of the pipeline pigging operations were given, analyzed the relationship among pipeline pressure, foam pigging speed and pipe stress, then obtained the security of pipeline pigging operations.

The umbilical tensioner is special equipment for laying pipeline offshore. Paper analyzes the research of umbilical tensioner, calculates the driving torque of the drive device, and designs the overall program of the tensioner structure based on four tracks structure, takes a mechanical check of key components in the actual operating environment. Analyzing the umbilical tensioner has a theoretical significance for the designing. The results show that the mechanical structure is reasonable.

The tap cutter is one of the key equipment for the pipeline maintenance and rush repair, which in intended to solve broken tooth due to continuous cutting and impact during tapping. Three kinds of tap cutter optimization schemes are put forward and the finite element design and cutting experiment are applied to study its cutting property. The results show that, the optimized tooth can improve the tapping effect, largely enhance the cutting property, which has reached the level of the most advanced TDW tap cutter; thus, it is of great importance on the efficiency improvement and cost saving of the domestic pipeline maintenance and rush repair.

The bridge plug is a staple tool used in downhole operation and the performance of the slips has a directly influence on the oil well productivity and production safety. We raised an optimize method based on BP network and genetic algorithm to make sure the slips satisfy the high temperature and high pressure demands. Establishing the slips system and making finite element analysis by ANSYS, abtaining sixteen group datas to constitute the BP network training samples, establishing the BP simulation model reflecting curvature radius of the slip fluke, dip angle of the fluke, angle of the fluke and distance between flukes using nonlinearity mapping ability of the neural network, applying optimize design for the simulation model using global optimization ability of the genetic algorithm and abtaining the optimum structure parameters of the slip. The optimized results indicate the whole performance of the slips system has increased notably.
