In order to protect the intangible cultural heritage, virtual reality technique was used to reconstruct and imitate famous historical cultural activity. Based on anthropotomy and CT, ancient people were reconstructed. Then, cultural activities of virtual characters were obtained by motion capture and actors. And we also recovered culture relics in space of cultural activities by 3D scanner, 3D modeling and recovery of texture. The method to protect and transmit culture heritage is more acceptable and enjoyable than traditional one, and it is better to attract audiences attention, make audiences to obtain experience, increase the extent and depth of intangible culture transmitted

In recent years, an increasing amount of game players attribute importance to the perceived value of games, such as positive experiences and emotions, rather than functions in games. In contrast to the game itself, user experience is gradually becoming the main focus in the design of computer games. Therefore, a successful game should have a high perceived value and the capability of evoking positive emotions and experiences within the players through the five human senses. However, current games mainly depend on the visual, auditory and tactile experience, olfactory experience is very scarce. In order to explore the possibilities that the intervention of the sense of smell could enhance pleasantness experience of playing games. This study choose the Chinese folk music which is commonly used in Chinese games as background music, and some common odors as experimental stimuli. Three experiments were conducted. The first two experiments were used to classify the music clips and odors separately according to the evoked emotions. Results showed that most odors and music clips had a high effect on the arousal of emotion. The third experiment was used to verify whether congruent odors could increase the pleasantness of music significantly more than incongruent odors. Results showed that music-odor congruency played a key role in perceiving pleasantness of music. Congruent odor can increase pleasant perception of music while incongruent odor can decrease pleasant perception of music. These findings could be important not only for the theoretical understanding of multisensory and emotional feedback in game experience, but also for the optimization of game design.

A successful design of information system relies on the clarity of user requirements and the close matching of requirements and the adopted technologies. Aiming at comprehensively acquiring user requirements to improve the total quality and user satisfaction of information system, an integrated design approach to developing information system is presented. First of all, the notions of scenario and participatory design are reviewed respectively. Secondly, a method for designing the Internet-based information system is developed by using scenario based design method and participatory design method. At last, a case study of a cooperative learning system is conducted, by which the practicability and effectiveness of the method is validated.

This paper proposes a music emotion cognition model by applying the improved genetic algorithm with dynamic mutation operator. Firstly, a Hevner emotion ring representing the music emotion space is presented by utilizing psychological fuzzy measure on words in music psychology. Secondly, the music emotion vector is introduced based on semantic similarity relation in computing with words. Then the mapping from high dimensional feature space of music to emotion space is built by using the genetic algorithm which can mine the emotion expressions. Finally the comparisons with some famous learning algorithms such as BP neural network, regression method with least square, show that the proposed method is effective for music emotion cognition.

The visual appearance of product and system is very important nowadays. However, the phase of visual interface design was often ignored in system development lifecycle in the past, and designers conceived visual interface mainly based on their intuitive knowledge and experiences. In this study, the visual interface design domain is especially discussed, a visual interface design method based on user participation is developed, applicable techniques are adopted to support the design process. Finally, a sample application named Chinese Sports system is carried out, which is validated the practicability and effectiveness of this method.

Musics affective computing model is an important research hotspot in computer music, which can be widely used in intelligent control, multimedia retrieval, human-machine interaction and entertainment robot. On the basis of analyzing the features of music emotion connotation and its relation with basic audial elements, this paper brings forward some rules on music affective computing, and then constructs the architecture of musics emotion linguistic variable and defines the emotion based on fuzzy logic and Hevners emotion loop. Afterwards, the paper illustrates the lens model of emotional communication and its utilization in fuzzy reasoning. Lastly, research on emotion recognition of music is described based on the affective computing model

During the developing of auto industry, research on driving posture comfort has been the hot pursue in computer aided auto ergonomics design (CAAED) realm, and static driving comfort angle is the kernel point of the whole problem. Traditional static comfort assessment only built models from auto driving space to comfort result. To converse it is difficult because the uncertain meaning of COMFORT. This paper solves the problem by using Mamdani fuzzy logic to emulate the comfort assessment. Using this method, we could build fuzzy logic model between design parameters and comfort assessment, and feed the comfort result back to the design phase. Also, we emulate the algorithm in Matlab fuzzy toolkit, and develop a computer aided auto design prototype

To promote the development of the intangible cultural heritage of the world, shadow play, many studies have focused on shadow puppet modeling and interaction. Most of the shadow puppet figures are still imaginary, spread by ancients, or carved and painted by shadow puppet artists, without consideration of real dimensions or the appearance of human bodies. This study proposes an algorithm to transform 3D human models to 2D puppet figures for shadow puppets, including automatic location of feature points, automatic segmentation of 3D models, automatic extraction of 2D contours, automatic clothes matching, and animation. Experiment proves that more realistic and attractive figures and animations of the shadow puppet can be generated in real time with this algorithm.

In recent years, the user experience has gradually become the main focus in the design of consumer products, rather than the products’ features and functions. Therefore, designers should consider the user experience to be of paramount importance in the development of a successful product. In addition, user experience is not static, but rather it changes over the different stages of usage due to the variations in consumers’ sensory modalities and emotional responses. Therefore, this study aims to use psychophysiological measures to explore how the interaction between the user and the product at each different stage influences sensory modalities and emotional responses to products. The experiment was conducted in five stages according to the different levels of interaction for two tea products. Subjective data about sensory modalities and emotions related to the products were collected. In addition, the research gathered objective data to examine the feasibility of relating physiological measures to subjective experiences. The results showed that the tea experience tends to be dynamic over the different stages of usage, demonstrating important variations in the different sensory modalities and emotional feedback. In addition, physiological signals such as galvanic skin response, have been shown to be of potential value for evaluation of the user’s emotional reaction. Our findings could be important not only for a theoretical understanding of sensory and emotional feedback in a product experience but also as a measure of user experience using psychophysiological methods.

This paper discussed the characteristics and influencing factors of urban design competitiveness based on research of urban competitiveness and design industry. It initially constructed an evaluation index system which consisted of three levels including 3 first class indexes, 8 second class indexes and 25 third class indexes. It laid a theoretical foundation for verification and evaluation of sample cities in future.
