Because of the long distance between the last finishing mill and the X-ray Thickness Gauge, there was a long delay time for the AGC system to get the gauge error information feedback, which has some negative effect on the control of strip thickness, so the monitor AGC was not a control system in time. According to the virtual model fitted by true measured parameters, the Smith predictor in the monitor AGC was applied to predict the gauge error in the finishing mill and used this gauge error to control the strip rolling mill. As a result, not only the mill response to strip gauge error was mended and the control system stability was improved, but also the strip gauge precision was obviously improved when the Smith predictor was implied to the industrial site.

In order to alleviate Linearly Decreasing Weight of Particle Swarm Optimization (LDW-PSO) algorithm falling into the local optimum, Particle Swarm Optimization combined with Ant Colony Optimization (PSO-ACO) algorithm is designed. A pseudo-random-proportional rule is introduced to the determination of the swarm optimum value in PSO for improving the swarm diversity. The calculation expression of particle positions is improved in combination with the calculation expression of the pheromone concentration, which makes particles pay more attention to the current search information and accelerate the search speed. The simulation experiment results show that PSO-ACO has higher convergence accuracy and satisfactory solution speed in the solution of several typical test-functions.

After the occurrence of major accidents, the people in the buildings should be evacuated to safe areas within the shortest time. It is the important part of safe evacuation and reduction of mass mortality accidents. Therefore, the research of fire evacuation problem has highly theoretical and practical values. In the fire evacuation scene, the individual attributes are affected by psychology and behavior among individuals. Based on radial basis function neural network, we used the principal component analysis to determine six main factors affecting evacuation time. These factors are taken as the input of neural network; the evacuation time as the output of neural network. The network was trained by 125 sets of survey data. The quadratic sum error of the model was similar to 0, thus better achieving simulation of actual situation.

This paper considers the problem of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller design for a closed-loop feedback system with time delay according some desired performance indexes. In this study, the characteristic equation of the closed-loop system is considered as that of a neutral type system with time delay. Besides, it is expected that the step response of the closed-loop systems has no overshoot. To achieve the objective of control, combining with Smith Predictor, we propose a new approach on the PID controller design for a neutral type delay system via dominant eigenvalue assignment. Such a method can make the performance of the system very close to the desired performance indexes for a standard first-order system. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

A real-time evacuation problem is taken into account in this paper to find the rapid routes during the fire emergency evacuation. A modified fly optimization algorithm is proposed to study the dynamic of pedestrian evacuation from a fire in a public building. The evacuation model according to different age and levels of prior spatial knowledge of the crowds along with the impact of gases, heat and smoke, to select three trends escape routes: the shortest route, the fastest path and mix route, which are simulated in the model. Pedestrian conformity behaviors may be lead to disorder and blocking the nearest passages and exits, the model studies the balance of the exits density to evacuate. Using the presented model, a series of evacuation simulations have been conducted with three fire scenarios. The simulation results show that the presented model can evaluate the influence of the dynamic of pedestrian and fire hazard change on the evacuation efficiency.

Make the low frequency high energy magnetic field stimulate the hearts of amphibian toad and mammalian rat and rabbit. Compare the different Biological effects of the Magnetic Stimulation on different species of animals. Research shows that the animal hearts contracting amplitude restored after stimulated by the low frequency high energy magnetic field. There is a greater effect on the lower animals. The heart rhythmic pulsatile cycle of toad, rat and rabbit were not change.

In the manufacturing process of hot strip continuous rolling, it is one of key factors to ensure stability rolling and better quality of strip, to keep the relatively invariable strip tension between two stands. Draft compensation was adopted, which takes the initiative to compensate roller speed, in order to decrease the coupling effect of automatic gauge control subsystem, automatic speed regulator subsystem and automatic tension control subsystem in the control system of the hot strip rolling mill. As a result, the strip tension fluctuating was deceased effectively, which kept steady looper angle and improved strip thickness precision.
