現在, 一般廃棄物のガス化溶融処理の普及が進んでいるが, さらなるエネルギー回収や資源の有効利用, 最適な運転条件の検討が必要となっている。著者らはこれまで, 一般廃棄物を構成する代表的な化学物質を用いた熱分解モデルを構築した。本報では新たに構築した定温熱分解モデルを用いて, 一般廃棄物の組成による発熱量および熱分解条件による熱分解後の残渣発生量や残渣発熱量の違いを検討した。その結果, 代表物質の各発熱量とモデルにより求められた組成割合から一般廃棄物の発熱量が推算可能であった。さらに, 管状電気炉を用いて熱分解温度を変えた実験で得られた熱分解残渣量とその発熱量について熱分解モデルによる推算値と比較検討を行った結果, 本モデルで熱分解残渣量, 残渣発熱量の推算が可能であり, 熱分解工程の効率的な運転条件の確立に有効であると考えられた。
