With the further research of nonlinear systems, we have discovered that many practical physical circuits contain chaotic phenomenon. At the same time, a number of control schemes can be used to controlled chaotic system, such as control by Ott-Grebogi-Yorke (OGY) method, control by delayed feedback control (DFC) method, control by synchronization and so on. Delayed feedback control was proposed by Pyragas to stabilize unstable period orbits embedded in a chaotic attractor. In contrast to the other method, it has the advantage of not requiring prior knowledge of anything except the period of the desired orbit. In this paper, we took a new three dimensional autonomous continuous system in [6] as an example and analyzed chaotic characters of this chaotic system and studied the stability of DFC system by using theoretical explanation and experimental results.

Image restoration is a key research field in the digital image processing technology. Due to camera defocus, the relative movement and noise, the image quality declines. Because of the limitations of Wiener filtering method, the paper proposes a kind of improved Wiener filtering restoration method based on the partition. The method can not only enhance the edges and eliminate the noise, but also eliminate pseudo morph well. The PSNR of improved restoration method is higher than the original method.

To resolve the problem that the face detection is slow and detection efficiency is low in complex background, this thesis adopts double color space for color modeling based on YCbCr color space and RGB color space, and on this basis we adopt Adaboost algorithm for face detection. Based on the research of Adaboost algorithm, this thesis proposes improvements on the Adaboost training process and detecting process. Finally, by the experiments we demonstrate that the improved algorithm can improve the efficiency and reduce the false rate of the traditional Adaboost algorithm.

Path motion object detection based on video is a fundamental part of intelligent transportation systems, In the aspect of background extraction, this paper compared all existing theories and algorithms, aimed at specific objects (city expressways or high-speed Road), and combined with the virtual loop set method. This paper proposed an extraction and updating algorithm based on the sub-segmentations of invariant background, which greatly increased the time efficiency of the background extraction. It achieved great results of accuracy and real-time of this algorithm under background extraction.

Individual recognition is the technique which recognizes persons identity through his gait. Gait energy image (GEI) is a classical gait representation and it can be decomposed into structural part and detailed part. Then virtual gait energy image (VGEI) can be constructed in virtual space by integrating those two different parts. The generalized principal component analysis (GPCA) is applied to VGEI to reduce the dimension. The classical Euclidean distance is used to measure the similarity of different gait features, and the nearest neighbor classifier is adopted to discriminate different patterns. The experiments on CASIA database testify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
