High Energy Totally Conductive Cooled, Diode Pumped, 2µm Laser

This paper describes the design and performance a totally conductive cooled, space-qualify-able high-energy 2-µm laser. Over 230mJ normal mode energy and 107mJ of Q-switched energy has been achieved.

Single longitudinal mode, high repetition rate, Q-switched Ho:YLF laser for remote sensing

An injection-seeded, Q-switched Ho:YLF laser has been developed. For 13W pumping from a CW Tm:fiber laser, the energy and width of single longitudinal mode pulse are 5.5mJ and 50ns, respectively. The repetition rate is 1.25kHz.

Diode pumped 135 mJ Ho:Tm:LuLF Oscillator

The design and performance of a diode pumped Tm sensitized Ho LuLiF4 (LuLF) laser is described. The laser produced 135-mJ of Q-Switched output, which represents a slope efficiency of 0.09. To our knowledge this is the highest Q-Switched output for this material.

We report on remote sensing measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide by a double pulsed 2-micron coherent differential absorption lidar technique.

A Double-pass Diode-pumped Tm: Ho: YLF Laser Amplifier at 2.05 μm

Double-pass Tm:Ho:YLF laser amplifiers were developed and compared with single-pass amplifiers. The output energy was improved by 75% and the energy extraction efficiency was increased from 1.4% to 3.1% at 54-mJ input pulse energy.
