Testing the properties of illuminance sensors designed for controllable lighting systems

Roman Hrbac; Vaclav Kolar; Tomas Novak; Stefan Hamacek

Abstract Currently, when the price of electric power keeps increasing, it is very effective to control a lighting based on pre-programmed requirements depending on the actual value of illuminance. To be able to perform such control, it is necessary to measure the illuminance value as accurately as possible. This paper deals with testing of several low-cost industrial sensors of illuminance intensity. There is a detailed description of industrial illuminance sensors of the lighting labelled MAX44009 and TSL2561. These sensors provide information about the illuminance intensity in a digital form and communicate via serial I2C communication. The results of photometric measurements of both sensors give satisfactory results. In the future it is planned to use these sensors in FARCOM-ECO system of firm TRAKCE to control illuminance levels in the platforms and train yards. The control of illuminance will significantly reduce an energy consumption of the lighting systems.

Distribution of the Density of Current in the Base of Railway Traction Line Posts

Lubomir Ivanek; Stanislav Zajaczek; Václav Kolář; Jiri Ciganek; Stefan Hamacek

This paper deals with modelling stray currents in the concrete base of traction line post in one of the most frequent defects - short-circuit of the surge arrester. If these defects occur more frequently, the concrete may be degraded and the post base firmness may deteriorate. The results of the modelling will be subjected to further processing by Construction Material Laboratories at VSB - Technical University in Ostrava.

Analysis of transformer state by fuzzy TOPSIS and AHP method

Mikołaj Bartłomiejczyk; Miroslav Gutten; Stefan Hamacek

The paper presents mathematical models TOPSIS and AHP methods, which was utilized on insulating state of distribution transformer to analyze and sensibility of individual measurements methods mutual comparison. We can uniquely determine the importance of these measurements methods with this mathematical apparatus in these measurements methods in insulating state of transformers.
