Study-Diagnosis Regarding the Development of Agriculture in Slanic, Oituz and Casin River Valleys in Bacau County

The territory of Romania is characterized by a large variety of natural conditions, mainly determined by the existence of the Carpathians. It makes the mountainous zones to concentrate in the central part of the territory of the country. Thus this aspect determines a certain specific of the process of the agricultural production both on the level of productivity and the problems they raise on the development of private households in the area. The development of agriculture in the mountainous area is of great importance not only for agriculture as a whole, but also for tourism and especially for sustainable rural agriculture. Without a proper management applied to agriculture we cannot ensure an equilibrium between this kind of agriculture and the environment and cannot create the economic conditions meant to ensure the thrift of the inhabitants of these places. The undergone study wants to diagnose the situation of agriculture in the mountainous zone of Bacau county, an area which has a series of specific peculiarities determined by the lack of co-operative process before 1989 as well as the existence of powerful industrial center near the zone.

THE ROLE OF AGROTOURISTIC ACTIVITY IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Tourism has multiple effects reflected in many planes, from the superior capitalization of natural-material resources, to the life conditions improvement, from the economic growth stimulation, to the social structure improvement. The work is emphasising one the kind to arrange of agrotouristic pension in rural development. The agrotouristic pension is a production and consumption unit, its income having the purpose to satisfy totally or partially, the needs of the family. The agrotouristic farm with a sustenance character, generally small sized, produce for self consumption or combines consumption, and the autarchy of production with marketing variable quantities of products.
