78 fs SWCNT-SA mode-locked Tm:CLNGG disordered garnet crystal laser at 2017 nm

A passively mode-locked Tm:CLNGG laser using single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) as a saturable absorber (SA) is demonstrated at 2017xa0nm. Pulses as short as 78xa0fs are generated at an 86xa0MHz repetition rate with an average output power of 54xa0mW. By increasing the output coupling from 0.5% to 1.5%, a higher power of 100xa0mW is achieved for slightly longer pulses with a duration of 105xa0fs at 1996xa0nm.
