The results of testing of Pd(II)-Cu(II)/Bent catalyst samples in the reaction of CO oxidation with air oxygen are presented. Bentonites from three Ukrainian deposits: Gorbskoye, Dashukovskoye, and Kirovogradskoye were used as supports. Natural bentonites, their modified forms, and the catalysts based on them were characterized by X-ray diffraction phase analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, and chemical analysis. It has been found that the activity of Pd(II) Cu(II)/Bent catalysts increases with increasing amorphous silica content and with decreasing pH of their water suspensions.

Desorption of palladium(II) and copper(II) from the K2PdCl4-Cu(NO3)2-KBr/H-BT-6 catalysts, in which bazalt tuff from various deposits subjected to acid modification is used as carrier, was studied.

The physicochemical and structural characteristics of bazalt tuff were studied. The optimal conditions of its acid modification, at which the high-activity catalyst Pd(II)-Cu(II)-Br-/H-bazalt tuff of a low-temperature oxidation of carbon(II) oxide with air oxygen is formed, were determined.

Natural clinoptilolite (N-CLI) and N-CLI based solid-state compositions containing copper(II) chloride and halide ions (X- = Cl-, Br- or I-) were investigated by X‑ray diffraction phase analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, water vapour adsorption, and pH‑metry. After that, they were tested in the reaction of low-temperature sulphur dioxide oxidation with air oxygen. It has been found that N-CLI has no protective properties in respect of sulphur dioxide whereas CuCl2‑KX/N-CLI compositions have the significant protective activity in the process of air purification from sulphur dioxide increasing in the order Cl- < Br- < I-.

Solid-state compositions containing copper(II) chloride, halide ions (X<sup>-</sup>), and natural clinoptilolite (N-CLI) were obtained. N-CLI and CuCl<sub>2</sub>-KX/N-CLI samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction phase analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, water vapor adsorption, and pH-metry. In addition, they were tested in the reaction of sulfur dioxide oxidation with air oxygen. As found, N-CLI has no protective properties against sulfur dioxide and the protective time of CuCl<sub>2</sub>-KX/N-CLI increases in the order Cl<sup>-</sup> <; Br<sup>-</sup> <; I<sup>-</sup>.

Серія статей містить у собі інформацію про металеві, оксидні і оксидно-металеві, а також нанесені металокомплексні (дана стаття) каталізатори. Проведене порівняння кращих закордонних і вітчизняних каталізаторів окиснення монооксиду вуглецю.
