India is having an enormous renewable energy base. But unlike other modes of transport non-conventional energy has not yet stepped into marine navigation. Apart from this the extensive use of petrol and other fossil fuels in ship has led to both water pollution and extinction of non-renewable energy sources. The purpose of this project is to design an electronic ship driven by renewable solar and ocean thermal energy, which will not only solve the above mentioned problems but will also provide effective passenger safety facilities. Desalination of marine water and use of motor controlled mirrors are points of main attraction. So this project is expected to serve humanity socio-economically.

Even today, different developing countries are also using traditional methods and backward techniques in agriculture sector. Little or very less technological advancement is found here that has increased the production efficiency significantly. To increase the productivity, a novel design approach is presented in this paper. Smart farming with the help of Internet of Things (IOT) has been designed. A remote controlled vehicle operates on both automatic and manual modes, for various agriculture operations like spraying, cutting, weeding etc. The controller keeps monitoring the temperature, humidity, soil condition and accordingly supplies water to the field.

This paper presents the analysis of the effect of different environmental changes on micro-wave communication signals. The changes in signal levels with the changes of climatic parameters have been studied here. Out of many climatic parameters, black carbon, dust, carbon monoxide and rain have affected microwave communication the most. The study has been focused at Delhi in India where the pollution level is very high throughout the year. The troposphere region has been chosen where cellular communication is predominant.

This paper presents a unique embedded controller design of a driverless, green energy powered, collision protected and GSM destination guided vehicle. A GPS module accurately tracks the location of the car, source and destination, and mapping the co-ordinates provides navigation Speeds of the vehicle is automatically controlled by keeping a safe distance, which is a function of speed, with the vehicle in front. Distance of the front and side vehicle are continuously monitored by a stepper motor controlled rotating distance measuring sensor and the speed limit as well as track changing are done accordingly. It also prevents collision due to an obstacle. Camera with image processing unit has been used to sense traffic signal and traffic density. The driverless car is powered by green energy from a rooftop solar PV panel with battery backup. Useful audio information also is provided to the passenger.

This paper presents a novel idea of taking care of old people, patients and women staying isolated at home. Patients require prompt & accurate decisions so that lifesaving therapy can be applied timely. In major cases prolonged treatment at hospital is not feasible. Secondly, rate of crimes against old people and women staying alone at home is increasing day by day. An efficient and reliable, round the clock automatic monitoring system from a local as well as from a remote place has been described here to overcome the problems. This unit communicates through GSM based technology to a remotely placed person about the patients health parameters like temperature, heart condition, and respiratory function in real time enabling the doctors or the family members to take measures. Emergency online activated services have also been provided through GSM devices. Introducing one touch notification switch has made this system smarter. Instead of going through a process, a single touch will help in gas booking, calling a doctor, contacting a police or a person by providing necessary message.

This paper presents a design of a smart home that provides a very healthy and secured environment to live in. The smart home has the capability of giving the optimum living conditions required naturally. Using different sensors installed in the home, environmental and regular appliances are operated in automatic as well as GSM based remote instructions. Green renewable source of energy has been utilised in power generation for the functioning of all the smart appliances used to sustain the automated home.

The renewable energy based power source with all major safety features have been integrated to make a smart boat. Till now pollution creating fossil fuel is being used for boat movement The limited source of fuel will also end the present driving technology. In this paper a very efficient green energy based power generating system is presented for powering a boat movement. All other safety features like fire, excess load or relief measuring facilities at the time of boat sinking have been taken cared.

Renew able energy sources have gained momentum in the current trends of effective power generation to overcome global warming due to the pollution caused by existing power generating system. The renewable power will also meet the future demand when existing fuel will be exhausted. Solar power is considerably preferred on account of its easy availability all year round. In this paper, a very efficient way of generating grid quality power from solar power has been presented. For achieving high efficiency, solar DC power is directly converted through high frequency PWM switching based inverter to grid power eliminating any buck-boost power converter stage. MPPT controlled has been implemented in the inverter itself in the process DC to AC conversion. The basic inverter unit is designed at 3KW level to optimize efficiency. The inverter is based on transformer less design along with other high MTBF components resulting reliability, longevity and efficiency to a peak value. Output power boosting is achieved by adding number of 3KW inverters in parallel at the AC output side in an N+1 configuration. This configuration further improves the overall performance compared to a single high power inverter as far as MTBT, shading and power enhancing point of view is considered.

Vehicle accident prevent cum location monitoring system

Abhirup Das; Abhisek Ray; Abhisek Ghosh; Swarasree Bhattacharyya; Debaleena Mukherjee; T. K. Rana

Rate of road accidents is increasing day by day. Fatal road accidents can be easily avoided by understanding the psychological state of a driver. Majority of road accidents occur during night driving due to the drowsiness state of a vehicle driver. The paper provides mechanism to reduce accidents to a large extend by monitoring eye blinking of the driver which indicates the drowsiness, obstacles located in the road and the drunken state of the drivers. Automatic pre-cautionary system is activated based on the above alarming condition. Accident and its probable location are also generated at the nearby police station that helps initiating medical help. In normal cases no medical help is received due to the non-availability of accident information. This happens mainly at night and in roads where the traffic is low.

Nowadays heart disease is a bell on every possible door. A medical electronics unit has been developed citing the problems of general mass of people. Round the clock this multifunction electronic device monitors, records and indicates alarming heart situation of the user. It also prescribes emergency as well as regular medicines based on the recorded heart data. This data puts light on a thought where users themselves can trace their heart and can take immediate measures of emergencies or visiting a doctor. The unit even determines how a person can push his/hers working boundary or control their work intensity for a healthy life style. To put the long story short we have planned a device which can reach out to the general mass, is their 24 hour aid and are useful to keep their heart out of possible troubles.
