The dorsal dislocations of the metatarsopharangeal joints are uncommon. Recently we have experienced a case of these dislocations at 2nd, 3rd, 4th metatarsopharangeal joints. These dislocations could not be reduced by manipulation under lumbar anesthesia next day after injury, they were, therefore, necessary to perform open reduction.Judging by the operation findings, we considered that most significant irreducible factor was fibrocartilagenous plate.

K. Aso; M. Masuda; T. Wakimaru; T. Naono; T. Makino; T. Iwasaki

Recently we have few chance to see the older child with untreated CDH owing to the progress of management for CDH in new-born baby or in infant. However incidence of the secondary O A. that occurs following dislocation or subluxation seems to be relatively increasing. In our clinic we performed the Chiaris transverse pelvic osteotomy for 14 cases of subluxation with acetabular hypoplasia in these 3 years. Now we report the result of the operation with some discussions, though period of follow-up study is short.
