We demonstrate a continuous-wave diode laser pumped cesium vapor laser. We achieved a forty percent slope efficiency relative to the pump power in a non-optimized experiment

Optical guiding of atoms through a hollow-core photonic band-gap fiber

We have demonstrated guiding of rubidium atom through a hollow core photonic bandgap fiber. Rb atoms from a thermal oven travel down 6 cm fiber with an efficiency that is greater than 70%.
