Evaluation of Travel Tracks of Tractor-drawn Manure Spreaders Using RTK-GPS*

Abstract The causes for the differences in compost application rate in a field using two types of manure spreaders are investigated and clarified by measuring the travel tracks of the manure spreaders using a RTK-GPS system. The travel speed of each application pass was not constant, and the variation ranged from 0.9-1.6 m/s. The standard deviation of an individual track distance did not significantly change. However, there was a maximum change of 2.5 m between each track distance in the test field. The results show the differences in compost application rate are due to the changes in travel speeds and track distances.

Present Situation of Tractor Implement Row-following Operation in Large-scale Upland Farming

本報はうね自動追従システムの開発のための基本研究として畑作のトラクタ作業者の作業状態とうね合わせ作業精度を明らかにし,自動追従システムに要求される制御速度を検討し,以下のことが明らかになった.1)作業者の後方確認時間割合は播種・移植作業の場合10~16%であるのに対し,中耕除草作業では16~27%と高くなった.2)うね合わせの作業精度は,播種・移植作業の場合,隣接行程のうね間の変動は,最大7.5~11.5cmであり,その後の中耕除草作業への影響が懸念される.一方,中耕除草作業の場合では,その最大変動は8.2cmに達し,作物に機械的な損傷を与えることが観察された.3)うね間の周期性から求めたうね自動追従システムに要求される制御速度は,トラクタの作業速度を2m/sに想定すると,播種・移植作業では最大6.6cm/sであり,中耕除草作業の場合は,10cm/s必要であると推定された.
