A new small sized and low loss 1.9 GHz band dielectric duplexer has been developed. 1.9 GHz TM110 dual mode monoblock dielectric resonators, which designed to have much smaller volume (27 cc) and high unloaded Q(5000), have been constructed by using new precise molding techniques. And to insure that we are able to simulate and design optimized electrical performance of the duplexer accurately, we have proposed a dielectric dual mode waveguide transmission line design, method. The duplexer thus designed and manufactured has excellent performanc. The volume is 200 cc, insertion loss is 0.45 dB, and attenuation is 85 dB.

We have developed a multi-beam automotive FM-pulse radar font end for the 60 GHz band by using new NRD technologies. The multi-beam antenna consists of a dielectric lens and a non-contact cylindrical NRD switch with four dielectric resonator radiators and a motor. The millimeter-wave circuit consists of our original NRD guide components. The size of the equipment is W125 mm/spl times/H80 mm/spl times/D74 mm. This is expected to be applicable for automotive ICC applications.

This paper describes a compact transmitting bandpass filter using dielectric resonators for PCS microcellular base station. We propose new size reduced capacitive loaded TM dual mode resonators that consist of monoblock high K ceramics. The electrical performance of the filter constructed by these resonators is designed by using dual mode dielectric transmission line method. A six pole bandpass filter at 1.9 GHz band is manufactured. It has center frequency of 1.87 GHz, low insertion loss of 1.1 dB and small dimensions of 20/spl times/20/spl times/60 mm.

Jun Hattori; Hiroyuki Kubo; Shin Abe; Taiyo Nishiyama; Youhei Ishikawa

This paper describes a compact dielectric resonator duplexer for GSM microcellular base station. A new size-reduced capacitive loaded TM dual mode resonator that consist of monoblock high K ceramics is proposed. The electrical performance of the duplexer is designed by using elliptic type equivalent circuit method. A 6 pole type duplexer at 900 MHz band is manufactured. It has low insertion loss of 1.1 dB, high attenuation of 58 dB. The volume is about 318 cc that is 1/3 of conventional cavity type.

This paper describes a new technology of very compact 800MHz band dielectric duplexer. We has developed a dielectric TM triple mode resonator, that consists of monoblock high K ceramics. By using this, a much size-reduced dielectric duplexer has been designed and manufactured at 800MHz band. The duplexer which has each 6 poles has elliptic function characteristics and low insertion loss of about 0.8dB, high attenuation of 90dB. The volume is about 222cc, that is 1/5 of conventional cavity duplexer. This duplexer is very useful for cellular base station.
