A Study on Improvement of Non-Iubrication, High Pressure, Multistage Reciprocating Compressor

Characteristics of the multistage high-pressure reciprocating compressor, which is expected to obtain outlet pressure over 30 MPa have been studied. For the performance improving, it was tried to reduce the gas leakage at the compression parts and to raise the suction pressure. In order to raise the suction pressure, a double acting mechanism was developed at the first stage where two serial compression rooms were arranged. And for improvement of volumetric efficiency, the gas flow resistances at suction passage were decreased and the pressure pulsation effect due to rotation direction of compressor was changed at the suction-discharge pipe system. These flows are analyzed and improved by the experiments and numerical calculations.
