グリーソン式こう配歯まがりばかさ歯車はよい歯当りを得ることが困難な歯車である.本報では,良好な歯当りを得るため,この歯車を小さな相対曲率で接触する点接触歯車にすることを提案し,その理論と歯切結果についてのべる.本法はグリーソン式カッタの内側切れ刃を円弧にすることで点接触歯車を得るが,カッタ配置を理論的に決定すること以外は従来の片刃歯切法と同じであることから,実用的歯切法であると考えてよい.
