In recent years, such SNS services as Facebook, Google+, and Twitter have become very popular. In such services, many sources of information are posted and shared, although user rankings are hardly considered. In this paper, we consider for web pages an evaluation technique, such as HITS and PageRank, for SNS user evaluation applications and propose an algorithm using a users real distance. We consider various parameters, including user distance, favorites, and the numbers of friends in SNSs in our evaluation technique. We propose a new reputation network to measure the reliability of SNS information.

Electric power trading has been adopted in many countries. In this paper, we focus on community-based electricity markets to reduce a demand of electric power and ensure an balancing supply of energy for renewable energy. The community can be defined as a domestic group of individual homes. We assume a community has a larger battery that can be shared by individual homes. In the real world, community-based battery sharing has been focused on as a useful electricity buffer in crisis situations and also for stabilizing usage of electricity in a domestic area. In this paper, we build several domestic electric power management agent models by using Japanese power consumption data and meteorological data. We evaluate community-based electricity markets by using agent-based simulation, in which the validity of the large-sized storage battery in a community is confirmed regarding the load mitigation to a power network.

Electric power trading has been adopted in many countries. Moreover, 33% of the electricity market has been moved to the free competitive market already. Recently, many people are using communication tools on the Web, but some send harmful information to others. Most operators manually deal with harmful information, which is expensive. In this paper, we implement two-word co-occurrence filtering by applying the Bayesian filtering method as a spam filter. We propose grouping co-occurrence filtering based on Bayesian filtering and experimentally verify our approach. Grouping co-occurence filtering detect harmful or safe documents at low cost. Our result suggests that grouping co-occurrence filtering is more stable and has a higher accuracy than co-occurrence filtering baesd on Bayesian filtering.

In classroom scenarios that feature one teacher for many students, students usually fail to keep up with the teacher because it is not physically possible for the teacher to answer all student questions. As a result many students leave the classroom with many unasked questions. Students usually seek help from their classmates during non-class hours. In this research we designed a class that gives students discussion time with their classmates during class hours. We compared the effectiveness of such a class with the standard one where the teacher uses the entire class to teach. We experimentally evaluated the comprehension of the students about their lessons. Their scores in the class where the teacher provided discussion time exceeded the standard type of class.
