Coupled common fixed point results in two generalized metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Abdul Rahim Khan; Talat Nazir

In this paper, study of necessary conditions for the existence of unique coupled common fixed point of contractive type mappings in the context of two generalized metric spaces is initiated. These results generalize several comparable results from the current literature. We also provide illustrative examples in support of our new results.

COMMON FIXED POINTS OF FOUR MAPS IN PARTIALLY ORDERED METRIC SPACES

Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir; Stojan Radenović

In this paper, common fixed points of four mappings satisfying a generalized weak contractive condition in the framework of partially ordered metric space are obtained. We also provide examples of new concepts introduced herein.

Some periodic point results in generalized metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir; Stojan Radenović

Abstract We prove some fixed point and periodic point theorems for a map in generalized metric spaces. An example is provided to support our result. The results presented in this paper generalize several well known comparable results in the literature.

Fixed point of generalized weakly contractive mappings in ordered partial metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir

In this article, we prove some fixed point results for generalized weakly contractive mappings defined on a partial metric space. We provide some examples to validate our results. These results unify, generalize and complement various known comparable results from the current literature.AMS Classification 2010: 47H10; 54H25; 54E50.

Common fixed points of R-weakly commuting maps in generalized metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Safeer Hussain Khan; Talat Nazir

In this paper, using the setting of a generalized metric space, a unique common fixed point of four R-weakly commuting maps satisfying a generalized contractive condition is obtained. We also present example in support of our result.2000 MSC: 54H25; 47H10; 54E50.

Common fixed point of generalized weakly contractive maps in partially ordered G-metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir; Stojan Radenović

Abstract In this paper, using the setting of complete partially orderedG-metric spaces, some common fixed point results of maps that satisfy the generalized ( φ , ψ ) -weak contractive condition are obtained.

Common fixed points for four maps in cone metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; B. E. Rhoades; Talat Nazir

The existence of coincidence points and common fixed points for four mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions without exploiting the notion of continuity of any map involved therein, in a cone metric space is proved. These results extend, unify and generalize several well known comparable results in the existing literature.

Common coupled coincidence and coupled fixed point results in two generalized metric spaces

Wasfi Shatanawi; Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir

In this article, we prove the existence of common coupled coincidence and coupled fixed point of generalized contractive type mappings in the context of two generalized metric spaces. These results generalize several comparable results from the current literature. We also provide illustrative examples in support of our new results.2000 MSC: 47H10.

Common fixed point of mappings satisfying (E.A) property in generalized metric spaces

Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir; Dragan Doric

Abstract In this paper, using the setting of generalized metric spaces, existence of unique common fixed point is established for mappings satisfying (E.A)-property under generalized strict contractive condition, as well as under some generalized contractions. Obtained results are proper extensions of the existing ones in metric space. We also provide example to support concepts and results presented herein.

Common Fixed Point for Two Pairs of Mappings Satisfying (E.A) Property in Generalized Metric Spaces

Wei Long; Mujahid Abbas; Talat Nazir; Stojan Radenović

Recently, Abbas et al. (2012) obtained some unique common fixed-point results for a pair of mappings satisfying (E.A) property under certain generalized strict contractive conditions in the framework of a generalized metric space. In this paper, we present common coincidence and common fixed points of two pairs of mappings when only one pair satisfies (E.A) property in the setup of generalized metric spaces. We present some examples to support our results. We also study well-posedness of common fixed-point problem.
