Classification of solutions to the star-triangle relation for a class of 3- and 4-state IRF models

Michio Jimbo; Tetsuji Miwa

Abstract Classification of all the solutions to the star-triangle relation is presented for a class of 3- and 4-state IRF models on a square lattice that enjoy certain symmetry conditions. The work is guided by some hypotheses proposed previously concerning a differential approach to the star-triangle relation. These hypotheses are explicitly verified for the present cases.
