Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences | 1980

The effect of two new peptide antibiotics, the hypelcins, on mitochondrial function.

Yoshihisa Takaishi; Hiroshi Terada; Tetsuro Fujita

The action on mitochondria of 3 peptide antibiotics, hypelcin-A, hypelcin-B, and alamethicin, was examined. The results showed that they are unique uncouplers of oxidative phosphorylation, with the same mechanism of action.

Phytochemistry | 1987

Four new iridoid glucoside p-coumaroyl esters from Ajuga decumbens

Yoshio Takeda; Satomi Tsuchida; Tetsuro Fujita

Abstract From the methanolic extract of the dried whole plant ofAjuga decumbens, four new iridoid glucosidecis- andtrans-p-coumaroyl esters, decumbeside A (1), B (2), C (7) and D (8) were isolated together with the known reptoside (6) and 8-acetylharpagide (9). The structures of the new compounds have been elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.

Phytochemistry | 1982

Structure of inflexinol, a new cytotoxic diterpene from Rabdosia inflexa

Tetsuro Fujita; Yoshio Takeda; Eiji Yuasa; Akio Okamura; Tetsuro Shingu; Toshio Yokoi

Abstract From the leaves of Rabdosia inflexa a new cytotoxic diterpenoid, inflexinol was isolated, together with the known inflexin, and the structure was established as ent-kaur-16-en-15-one-1α,3α,6β,11β-tetraol 1,3-diacetate.

Phytochemistry | 1994

Rabdoternins D-G, ent-7β,20-epoxykaurenes from Rabdosia ternifolia

Yoshio Takeda; Koichi Takeda; Tetsuro Fujita; Handong Sun; Yoshinori Minami

Abstract Examination of the diterpenoid constituents of the dried leaves of Rabdosia ternifolia led to the isolation of four new diterpenoids, named rabdoternins D-G. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.

Phytochemistry | 1989

Ent-kaurenoids from Rabdosia umbrosa

Yoshio Takeda; Teruyoshi Ichihara; Tetsuro Fujita; Akira Ueno

Abstract Five new ent -kaurenoids have been isolated from the aerial parts of Rabdosia umbrosa together with the known compounds, kamebanin and kamebakaurin. The structures of new compounds have been determined on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.

Phytochemistry | 1983

Structure of rabdolatifolin, a diterpenoid from Rabdosia umbrosa var. Latifolia

Yoshio Takeda; Tetsuro Fujita; Akira Ueno

Abstract From the aerial part of Rabdosia umbrosa var. latifolia , a new diterpenoid, rabdolatifolin, was isolated together with the known compounds, shi

Phytochemistry | 1990

Monoterpene glucosides having a cross conjugated dienone system from Spiraea cantoniensis

Yoshio Takeda; Komami Fukumoto; Maya Tachibana; Tetsuro Shingu; Tetsuro Fujita; Teruyoshi Ichihara

Abstract From the dried leaves of Spiraea cantoniensis , three monoterpene glucosides were isolated and the structures were elucidated on the basis of the spectroscopic evidence. Two of the three isolated compounds have a unique cross conjugated dienone system.

Phytochemistry | 1979

Bitter diterpenoids from Isodon shikokianus var. Intermedius

Tetsuro Fujita; Yoshio Takeda; Tetsuro Shingu

Abstract Four new diterpenoids were isolated from the aerial parts of Isodon shikokianus var. intermedius . The structures of two of them, shikodokaurin A and B, were established.

Chemical & Pharmaceutical Bulletin | 1985

Studies on the Constituents of Solanum Plants. V. The Constituents of S. lyratum THUNB. II

Kotaro Murakami; Hisataka Ezima; Yoshihisa Takaishi; Yoshio Takeda; Tetsuro Fujita; Akihiko Sato; Yoko Nagayama; Toshihiro Nohara

Chemical & Pharmaceutical Bulletin | 1990
