Semi-empirical process modelling with integration of commercial modelling tools

Abstract The paper presents an approach for semi-empirical (hybrid) modelling of partially unknown processes. Using the integration platform CHEOPS it is possible to integrate process unit models from different modelling tools. The method is applied to the case of an ethylene glycol process model, incorporating known unit models from general purpose modelling tools and a structured hybrid model from the semi-empirical modelling tool HybridTool.

Abstract In this paper we present some systems for decisions support used in industry for different subjects. In all cases it is important to consider most parameters as uncertain. Therefore these variables are supposed to satisfy a given probability distribution. To ensure authorized users reliable access to consistent information at any time all over the world these tools are realized as web based systems with a central database.

Abstract To systematically support the industrial product development process, the so called product design workbench has been developed. The integrated software system supports the typical workflow consisting of experiment design, data analysis, development of data-based models and formulation optimization. Thereby, specifically adopted artificial neural networks or hybrid models can be used in order to precisely described the complex property formulation relationship.
